Seacoast Academy of Music was founded in 2001 by piano teacher and director, Christine Petrucci. As an experienced music educator, Ms Petrucci’s vision for the Academy of Music included an engaging and inspiring environment for music instruction to students of all ages and abilities. As a professional performing musician, her vision also included a facility in which those students and other musicians could perform recitals and concerts for the local community. Its first home was in the Drake Farm Antique Book Barn on US Rte 1 in North Hampton, NH where private music lessons were taught and a series of Sunday afternoon community concerts was established. As student enrollment increased and concert attendance grew, it was evident that a larger space was needed to pursue the dream.
